Stalybridge Buffet Bar is the original Victorian Buffet Bar and is as renowned for its vintage interior, railway memorabilia, and original marble bar as it is for its real ales and craft beers. Named in the top 10 railway pubs by The Telegraph, there’s no better way to start (or end, depending on your direction of travel!) the TransPennine Real Ale Trail.

Stalybridge Buffet Bar has won many awards over the years and featured in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide since 1999, plus its Crisp Butty Beer Pairing events have been known to go viral! The only pub on the trail outside Yorkshire, you’ll often find some tasty Tameside treats on offer such as black peas and corned beef hash. Food orders taken for ale trailers when booked in advance.
